Featuring the world premiere of a new jazz opera,
Gertrude Stein Invents A Jump Early On with music by William Banfield,
story and text by poet Karren LaLonde Alenier
along with 2 short operas,
Three Sisters Who Are Not Sisters by Ned Rorem
Capital Capitals by Virgil Thomson, both pieces with texts by Gertrude Stein.
The sold-out performances were at Symphony Space’s Thalia Theatre.
